Iraq Al Rafidain is a cinema & media production company specializing in filmmaking and artistic media addressed to the cultural and creative industry. It was created with the purpose of transferring the human stories of Iraq through cinema. The company has been developing the cinema industry in Iraq since 2004, with the aim of revolutionizing cultural and artistic production through advanced filmmaking processes. Iraq Al Rafidain is based in Baghdad to support aspiring filmmakers and provide a robust production base in Iraq. Moreover, Iraq Al Rafidain believes in the principles of breaking down cultural barriers in order to tell human tales.
We are proud to say that the company has achieved numerous accomplishments since its founding in 2004. It has received over 84 international, global, Arab, and Iraqi awards for the films it has produced, including feature films such as “Dreams,” “Son of Babylon,” “In the Sands of Babylon,” and “Path of Mariam.” Additionally, the company has produced acclaimed documentary films like “Iraq: Love, War, God, and Madness” and “In My Mother’s Arms,” as well as short films like “My Name is Mohammed.” It has also played a significant role in compensating for the shortfall in cinematic representation in Iraq.
Iraq Al Rafidain company has established a mobile cinema festival, which showcases films produced by the company in Baghdad and other provinces of Iraq. It organizes outdoor screenings, allowing audiences to enjoy movies in the open air.
